    There is another battle that's pitting two _undefeated_ teams for Town supremecy - Leesburg's Loudoun County @ Tuscarora. Long established team versus upstart - where some of the players at Tuscarora used to play for Coach Hill at County. These kids know each other as well - the schools are also 2 miles apart. Realize that everyone's looking at Ashburn but the game in Leesburg will be just as fun to watch.

    For sure! For sure! This is a marquee match-up in the Dulles District with HUGE playoff implications as the winner will then be on a collision course with BWoods ... And the sked has other interesting match-ups ... Dominion at Woogrove and two teams looking for first district win; Heritage at Park View ... first team to 40 wins?!? And don't overlook Freedom ... a big, big chance to get in the win column against Wakefield ... whew ... this is probably the top week of the year for total match-ups ...

    Sorry, Anonymous... Broad Run/ Stone Bridge is THE only battle this week. Loudoun County lost to Broad Run 37 - 18 last year in a game that wasn't that close. Tuscarora? C'mon - they will be good some day, but not this day.

    Not a bad match-up if you can't get in to The Big game.

    First, I'm sure that all of the Broad Run fans will be quick to point out that whatever happened last year does not reflect the outcome of games this year (check the Briar Woods history for proof).

    I'm not saying that either County or Tuscarora can beat Stone Bridge or Broad Run.

    What I'm saying is that, unlike the Ashburn contest, some of the kids on the Tuscarora team played for Coach Hill and have something to prove.

    I'm also saying that the Leesburg title game will be closer and have more impact this season than watching Stone Bridge lose to Broad Run by 3 touchdowns.

    You keep saying that these kids are playing against their old coach, yeah that's cool and all, but Broad Run's head coach used to be an assistant coach at Stone Bridge, which also ads to the battle. Maybe when County or Tuscarora's football program win championships year after year then they could be mentioned in the Post...maybe. Ask anyone in Loudoun that doesn't have affiliation with these schools, I bet you 99% say they'd rather go to the Broad Run / Stone Bridge game. Have fun at your game, I bet that'll be a nice column in the school newspaper. By the way, Broad Run isn't winning by three touchdowns, it's going to be a lot closer than that.
