Tuscarora at Briar Woods
The Skinny: The area's only unbeaten, 2nd-year Huskies, travel to Downtown Brambleton for a big district contest with defending state champion Falcons. BWoods, after 14-0 non-district loss to open year with Broad Run, has out-scored three district opponents, 152-9 (!), since. Sophomore QB Trace McSorley has been on fire the past three weeks and the Falcons D is stingy. Tuscarora comes into the contest after winning the first round of the Battle of the Burg with a somewhat surprising, 19-6, win over a Loudoun County team that had shut out Sherando the week before. At stake tonight: district positioning and major VHSL power points!


Dominion at Park View
The Skinny: Titans are the area's only team still looking for a win after an 0-4 start. Park View lost a heartbreaker Saturday on Homecoming to Heritage, scoring 31 points in the first half but being shut out after the break in a 34-31 last second lost. Look for Alec Dombkowski, Ryan McCarter, Dante Absher and Khalil Brooks to again put some points on the scoreboard tonight. Dominion will have to control the football to get the Pats offense on the sidelines.


Loudoun Valley at Heritage
The Skinny: With just three wins in the past two years, Heritage is 4-1 overall and 3-0 in district. Valley had a week off to prepare for this game and at 0-2 in district, Vikes probably view this as a "Must Win". Heritage's Austin Nelson is currently first team on the Washington Post All-Met Watch at QB. He and the Pride offense should have a good night but can Heritage's defense stop the Vikings running attack led by Donald Devine, who is capable of eating up a lot of yardage.


Woodgrove at Loudoun County
The Skinny: Raiders look to bounce back after falling to Tuscarora last week. Woodgrove is 3-2 on the season after a district win last week against Dominion. Expect County's O-Line to give Wolverines some trouble tonight.

Herndon at Broad Run
The Skinny: Spartans need to forget about the second half of Stone Bridge and resume their great season with non-district foe Hornets coming to Ashburn. We wouldn't be surprised if BR defense is back to it shutout ways tonight.

The Skinny: TJ is a much improved team with a 2-2 record but keep in mind those wins came against Falls Church and Wakefield. Expect Bulldogs fans to once again be able to leave at halftime, knowing their team is up way big.
