Volleyball: Raiders Win Amazing 5-Set Battle with Cave Spring to Advance to AA Finals

Cave Springs takes the first set, 25-23. Raiders must now rally to make fourth straight trip to the AA state finals and defend back-to-back titles.

Raiders coming back ... have taken a 16-13 lead in set two with Cave Spring calling time out!

It is all tied up as Loudoun County wins the second set, 25-18.

Drama! Cave Spring went up big in set three over Loudoun County, 13-6, but the Raiders clawed back and it was tied 20-20 before going in "extra time" ... Cave Spring prevailed, 30-28, to take a 2-1 lead! Raiders with backs against the wall, must win next two sets to advance.

Loudoun County looking for force a fifth set ... they lead 21-14 in set four!

Cave Spring stormed back ... but Raiders held on for 25-23 win in fourth set. Now it is to the fifth set with the winner advancing to Saturday's 12:30 p.m. finals.

By the way, the last team to beat Loudoun County in state competition was Cave Spring in the 2006 finals.

Loudoun County leads 7-5 in the 5th and Cave Spring calls time out.
