South Riding (Nov. 17, 2009) - Freedom High School celebrated two basketball NCAA Division I basketball scholarship signings on Friday with Kelsey Buchanan (Delaware) and Jessica Escorza (Wofford), the school's first ever multiple signing.
Buchanan has committed to the University of Delaware and Escorza has committed to Wofford University. Both players will enroll at their respective schools in the fall of 2010.
These two athletes become the second and third female basketball players to receive a NCAA Division I full scholarship in the history of the Freedom girls basketball program.
This is the first time in Freedom Athletic History that multiple athletes have committed to a NCAA Division I scholarship on the same team at the same grade level.
