Broad Run grad Ryan Diviney is in critical condition after being attacked over the weekend in Morgantown where he attends West Virginia University.

Updates from Ryan's father Ken Diviney:

At apx. 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday: "They have just stopped the medicine that paralyzes him. It will take a few hours to wear off. I believe they will then bring him out of sedation to see if he responds. The fear we are experiencing is overwhelming, but please direct all prayers and thought to Ryan."

At apx. 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday: "Please continue to pray for Ryan. We might know a little more on his chance of recovery today. Physically, he did well overnight. We have every reason to continue to hope. His attack, and the effort to find the person who did this, is all over the media here (TV, radio, newspapers, websites, & radio). I also heard there might be an effort to raise reward money and we support and appreciate this if it is beginning. The support all of you our giving means the world to Ryan and the family!"
