Leesburg (May 10, 2011) - Heritage High School senior first baseman Shane Carrera will play next year at NCAA Division III Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
The Polar Bears are one of the eldest varsity programs in collegiate sports history as Bowdoin College baseball began playing around 1867, with its first intercollegiate competition against Dartmouth in 1869. Nearly 140 years later, the Polar Bears have accumulated over 1,000 wins and have established themselves as one of the top teams in New England.
