(May 18, 2011) - The Stone Bridge High School girls lacrosse team went on the road Tuesday and beat Annandale, 13-11, to advance to the Northern Region quarterfinals but the Bulldog boys had their season end with a one-goal loss, 8-7, against Woodson.
Kayla Sleece led the Bulldogs with six goals and an assist while Shelby Stewardson made seven saves in goal. Also for SB: Brittany Worstell 2 goals; Hannah Mohler 2 goals, 2 assists; Megan Ellis 1 goal, 1 assist; Kayla Worstell 1 goal; and Taylor Pascale 1 goal.
For the SB boys, sophomore attack Dylan Maltz had five goals. J.P. Giroux finished up his Bulldog career with an assist while junior Matthew Vincent added a goal and sophomore Jeremy Wirth scored once also. Junior goalie Jesse Southward had 12 saves in the loss.
