(Oct. 18, 2012)- A Leesburg man is in custody after he fired several rounds from a firearm during a domestic dispute and then barricaded himself inside of a residence. Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the home on Jodhpur Drive around 4:30 PM on October 17 where the suspect, Warren H. Ours, 60, had barricaded himself alone inside his home.
During the domestic dispute Ours fired several rounds from a firearm towards an adult female victim who also resides in the residence. She escaped from the home and was not seriously injured.
Members of the Loudoun Sheriff'€™s Office Crisis Negotiations Team and the SWAT team responded to the scene. After several hours of negotiations, Ours was taken into custody. Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff'€™s Office Field Operations Division and the Operational Support Division handled the incident with extreme caution to resolve the situation without serious incident, and SWAT and LCSO personnel did a commendable job.
Ours is charged with attempted malicious wounding and is currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
