(Oct. 30, 2012) - The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the following roadways closed due to flooding or downed trees/power lines:
•Watson Road/Evergreen Mills Road
•Route 15/Lime Kiln Road
•Tollhouse Road/Dutchmans Creek Road
•Evergreen Mills Road at Goose Creek
The following roadways have restricted or limited access:
•Silcott Springs Road
Although the heavy rains have passed, flooding is expected to continue, making some roadways impassable. Motorists are reminded to never walk or drive through a flooded area. Stay away from flooded areas and seek higher ground if you are in an area experiencing flooding. It takes only six inches of fast-moving flood water to knock over an adult and two feet to move a vehicle.
Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
