News: Loudoun County Public Schools Launching Survey Wednesday

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) is reaching out to all residents to better understand the priorities of the community it serves.

In a survey to launch on Wednesday, October 17th, parents and Loudoun County residents are invited to share their thoughts and ideas on the school district’s priorities to help the School Board and LCPS staff in their decision-making.


This survey focuses on several specific issues such as full-day kindergarten, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects and academic diversity. It asks the community to provide candid feedback. All survey responses are strictly confidential; participants’ identities will not be tied to their responses.

Faced with significant growth and budget constraints, the School Board is committed to a better understanding of the community’s priorities and the underlying reasons for those priorities.

The survey is open to all Loudoun County residents. Parents who have provided the district with their e-mail addresses will receive e-mail invitations to participate. For all others, the survey will be available through a link on the district’s website at http://www.lcps.org. The survey will be located under the Your Voice logo in the Permanent Links section.

Those without access to a computer or the Internet may pick up a paper copy at LCPS schools or by calling the LCPS Public Information Office at 571-252-1040 to request a copy be mailed to them.

The survey closes Friday, November 16th. LCPS will share the survey findings within three weeks of its close.
