The Skinny: Sam Adams pitched a 2-hitter for the Vikes, giving up both hits in the final inning. Defensively the Vikes had big catches by outfielders Crisp, Bowels and Latka. In the first inning, Latka tripled and Gibson, Psmiss and Crisp all had singles with Pentony driving home Crisp. In the third it was Pentony again, driving in Gibson and Crisp with a big hit to deep center. In the bottom of the third with two runners on for Stonewall, both Gibson and Bowels had amazing grabs. Adams ended things with a strikeout to keep the Vikes up 3-0. In the fourth Valley added a run as Bowels hit it deep to right to score Holtz. In the bottom of the seventh, Stonewall scored twice and had two more runners in scoring position when Adams ended it with a K.
