College Corner: Loudoun County Grad Petkovich Named Big East Volleyball Player of the Week

Loudoun County High School graduate Morgan Petkovich, now a sophomore at Villanova University, was recently named the Big East Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Petkovich helped the Wildcats to a perfect 3-0 record and the Maryland Invitational tournament title.

Villanova defeated Youngstown State, Stony Brook and Maryland as Petkovich was named tournament MVP. She posted a double-double (12 kills, 12 digs) against the Terps after setting a career-high with 20 kills against Stony Brook. Petkovich is among the conference leaders in total kills (50) and points (56.5). She averaged 4.17 kills per set in the three games.
