Spring Sports: Friday Night Schedule March 23

(March 23, 2012) - Sure the calendar only says March but there are some keys games already on the schedule for tonight. See below in red for some highlights.

Baseball
Woodgrove at Loudoun Valley, 6
The Skinny: Battle for the 'Ville features two of the three Dulles District teams unbeaten after three league games as the Wolverines and Vikings are both 3-0 in Dulles.
Freedom at Loudoun County, 6
Tuscarora at Park View, 6
Potomac Falls at Briar Woods, 6
The Skinny: It is early in the regular-season title race but neither team wants to drop another game in the loss column behind the Woodgrove/Loudoun Valley winner (and Heritage the other 3-0 team coming into tonight. BWoods is 0-2 in Dulles and PFalls is 2-1.
Dominion at Heritage, 6
Stone Bridge at McLean, 6:30
The Skinny: It doesn't get any better in the Liberty District the last few years than the battle between the Bulldogs and Highlanders. Winner will get a leg up on the other team.

Woodgrove at Loudoun Valley, 5
Freedom at Loudoun County, 6
Tuscarora at Park View, 6
Potomac Falls at Briar Woods, 6
The Skinny: The series between these two teams developed into a nice rivalry last year. Briar Woods is the only team unbeaten in district play but the Panthers and five other teams have just one loss.
Dominion at Heritage, 6
Stone Bridge at McLean, 6:30
The Skinny: Much like the baseball, this is also a tough match-up in softball and the Bulldogs so far have been blazing at the plate with 34 runs in three games.

Boys Soccer
Broad Run at George Mason, 7:30
Dominion at Heritage, 7:30
Woodgrove at Loudoun Valley, 7:30
Tuscarora at Park View, 7:30
The Skinny: Tuscarora sits at the top of the table with a 3-0-0 start while Park View (like Dominio and Woodgrove) is 2-1-0. Both teams have designs on the regular-season title.

Girls Soccer
Broad Run at George Mason, 6
The Skinny: Sure it's a non-district match-up between the AAA Spartans and A Mustangs but when can you see two teams that have each won 4 straight state titles face off as BR moves up after 4 in a row at AA and GM has owned A.

Loudoun Valley at Woodgrove, 7:30
