Ashburn (March 21, 2012) - Battle of Ashburn Round 2 Wednesday night pits Broad Run at Briar Woods High School in a boys lacrosse rivalry game at 7:30 p.m. A bake sale fundraiser will be held at the contest to benefit former Spartan Ryan Diviney.
Diviney was brutally beaten while attending college in West Virginia and has since been in a coma. The Diviney family has been left with the daily financial burden of caring for Ryan at home. The International Brain Research Foundation is advocating a new therapy bike that will help Ryan build muscle and bone density, gives a cardio-vascular workout, and provides electrical stimulation that trains the brain to work with the muscles.
The funds raised at the lacrosse game will help Ryan with this physical therapy.
