Girls Soccer: Loudoun County Celebrates College Signings of Shauna Kain (South Carolina Upstate) and Alaina Mackey (Longwood)

Leesburg (May 15, 2012) - Loudoun County High School held a celebration last week in the school's cafeteria for senior soccer players Shauna Kain (University of South Carolina, Upstate) and Alaina Mackey (Longwood University) who have both signed National Letters of Intent to continue their careers at the NCAA Division I level.

Raider athletic director Ken Wright: "We are thrilled for each of these young ladies and thank them for all they have done for LCHS. Congratulations also to their families and the coaching staff for helping both to achieve this goal."

Girls Soccer: Loudoun County's Kain to Play at NCAA Division I South Carolina Upstate

Leesburg (Nov.28, 2011) - Loudoun County High School senior Shauna Kain has commited to continue her soccer career at the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C.

Kain has been on varsity since her freshman year and has been a starter the past two years, helping the Raiders to the 2010 state AA championship game. She plans to study communications at USC Upstate which is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

College Signing: Three Titans Honored in College Commitment Ceremony

(May 17, 2010) - Three Dominion High School athletes Alexa Rizzo, Kimberly Ledwell and Hannah Donovan were honored at a college commitment ceremony on May 5 in the high school's library.

Rizzo, a standout lacrosse player at Dominion with a grade point average (GPA) above 4.0, received a presidential appointment to attend the Naval Academy.

Ledwell, an outstanding soccer player and team captain,will attend the University of South Carolina/Upstate and play soccer for the Spartans.

Donovan will be swimming for VMI next winter. She completed her high school swim career with the Titans as a four-year letter winner and team captain.

Girls Soccer: Dominion's Kimmy Ledwell Signs to Play at NCAA Division I South Carolina Upstate

(Feb. 25, 2010) - The University of South Carolina women's soccer coach Renee Lopez announced the signings of her class of 2010 on Feb. 19 and among the eight players are Dominion High School senior Kimmy Ledwell.

According to the USC Upstate release: Ledwell, a 5-4 combination player, has spent time at both the midfield and forward positions on her high school and club teams. Ledwell is a two-sport athlete at Dominion, where she has been part of the varsity swimming team all four years and she received the coaches' award after a strong junior campaign.
