The difference between this No. 4 spot and the bubble is razor thin. Pride went 2-1 last week with loss to PFalls and OT win over Park View
5, Briar Woods (7-5-1)
What to make of the Falcons? They put a 3-game skid behind them with solid 5-0 win over Park View, a team that tied Loudoun County, thus knocking Raiders to the bubble this week.

The Pride have yet to give up a goal in first three wins and only team entering week without a loss or tie after a pair of 2-0 wins over Freedom and Woodgrove.
2, Loudoun County (4-0-1)
Raiders jump over Tuscarora on strength of 6-0 win over Woodgrove and 3-1 win over Valley. Huskies beat Valley, 2-1, also last week. While LC and Tusky tied head-to-head, the Raiders own a 4-2 win over Potomac Falls while Tuscarora edged Potomac Falls, 1-0.
3, Tuscarora (4-0-1)
Huskies remain No. 3 with a 2-1 win over Loudoun Valley.
4, Broad Run (4-0-2)
Spartans jump into Top 5 with 3-2 win over then No. 5 Stone Bridge and 2-1 Cedar Run District win over Osbourn

Patriots make their first appearance in our Top 5 as they stay unbeaten with 2-0 win over Champe

The Pride has only played one game but they beat Millbrook 3-0, a team that took previous No. 1 Briar Woods into OT tied 0-0 before falling 1-0 so for now Heritage rises to the top
2, Briar Woods (3-0-0)
The Falcons cruised in the second week beating Woodgrove, 6-0, and Loudoun Valley, 4-0.
3, Tuscarora (3-0-1)
Huskies needed a comeback to beat Group A George Mason and then edged Potomac Falls, 1-0.
4, Loudoun County (2-0-1)
Raiders edged Freedom, 1-0.
5, Stone Bridge (1-0-1)
The Bulldogs tied Concorde District Robinson, 1-1.

ReplyDeleteAll records are for the week ending April 27 ... Usually like to get the Top 5 up on Monday but running a bit behind this week!
ReplyDeleteOf course ... the Heritage losses was wrong in any week as we had them for 3 instead of 2! It is corrected and the "Fox" has had his Xbox taken away from him for the rest of the week ...
