Sterling (May 18, 2013) - The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reports that Rosangela Spradling, 42, of Sterling has been charged with first degree murder and is being held at the Loudoun County Detention Center without bond after the shooting of her husband, Steven Spradling, 52, in their home in the 21700 block of Blossom Drive.
Around 9 p.m. Friday, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the home for a report of a shooting. An adult male was found deceased inside the home.
The deceased is identified as Steven Spradling, 52, of Sterling. Mr. Spradling is a sworn member of the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority Police Department.
An adult female, Rosangela Spradling,42, of Sterling is charged with first degree murder and is being held at the Loudoun County Detention Center without bond.
There were two juvenile children in the residence at the time of the incident but were unharmed and are staying with family friends.
