Swim: Valley's Kelsey Ryan, Heritage's Rosenburg Siblings Qualify for AAA State Meet

(Feb. 19, 2011) - Loudoun qualified three athletes for this weekend's AAA state swim meet at Princess Anne Recreation Center in Virginia Beach.

Heritage's Kaleigh and Damon Rosenburg each qualified for States in two events at the Northwestern Region meet with Kaleigh winning the 200 IM with a 2:07.39 as well as third in the 100 breast in 1:05.89 amd Damon won the 100 breast in 58.35 and took fifth in the 200 IM in 159.75. Heritage;s Dan McAllister finished 7th (56.85) in the 100 back and missed State by one place.

For Loudoun Valley, senior Kelsey Ryan qualified for states in the 100 fly and 100 back, finishing 4th in both events and breaking two school records. Junior Ian Miller broke a school record in the 100 breast, and the girls 200 free relay team of Kelly Johnson, Sheridan Suminski, Rachel Swan, and Kelsey Ryan also broke a school record.
