News: Woodgrove Taps Former Loudoun Valley Football Coach Bruce Sheppard as Assistant Athletic Director

Purcellville (Feb. 9, 2011) - Woodgrove High School announced Wednesday that former Loudoun Valley High School football and track coach Bruce Sheppard has been hired as the Wolverines new Assistant Athletic Director.

Sheppard, a 30-year public school educator that includes 11 years at Loudoun Valley and 19 years at James Wood in Winchester, replaces Randy Trenary, who stepped down in December to take an administrative position in the Clarke County schools system.

"We are fortunate to have a person with the valued experience, wealth of knowledge and a keen understanding for the processes in athletics at the high school level at Woodgrove," said Woodgrove Athletic Director Rusty Lowery. "Welcome aboard Mr. Sheppard!"

Sheppard is a former Assistant Athletic Director at James Wood, head coach in both football and track at Loudoun Valley and James Wood, and assistant basketball coach at James Wood.
