Breaking News: Loudoun County Sheriff's Seeks Public's Assistance to Help Locate Missing 11-Year-old from Area of Gallop Lane in Purcellville

(May 4, 2013) - The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is searching for an 11-year-old boy who is a missing person from the area of Gallop Lane north of Purcellville.

The child, Andrew Hyde, left his residence on his own accord around 4:30 p.m. Friday. He is described as a White male, 4' tall with a thin build and has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a long sleeved dark gray/black shirt with yellow and black stripes and blue jeans with holes in the knees.


On Friday, members of the Loudoun County Sheriff'€™s Office Search and Rescue Team conducted an aerial and ground search for the child. Aerial support was provided by the Maryland State Police and the Fairfax County Police Department. A Reverse 911 message was also sent to homes within the immediate area of where the child was reported missing. Members of the community also assisted in the search. The child has not been located at this time.
