Viva Loudoun College Intern
Leesburg (Dec. 17, 2012) - A five round tournament consisting of both private and public high schools from Virginia and Maryland proved to be a tall task for Loudoun County public high schools as Warren County High School took down Paul VI Catholic High School 57-24 in the championship match of the inaugural “Duals for the Warriors” wrestling tournament hosted by Loudoun County High School. The host Raiders were third.
Warren County dominated its opponents all day winning all five of its matches with a combined score of 300-79 including a shutout against Heritage 78-0. In their final match against the Paul VI Panthers, the Wildcats pinned the Panthers eight times and scored points in all but four of the contests. Paul VI endured, however, and won the last three challenges in the match making pins in the 138, 145 and 152 pound weight classes. The Panthers win at 145 was sophomore VitoCamarca’s fifth pin of the tournament earning him Tournament King Pin honors. Here is a recap of the final match:

Loudoun County took on St. James in the other match in the championship bracket winning 61-6 and locking up third place for the tournament. Matt Sun led the Raiders scoring four pins and another victory at 126 pounds and earning team MVP.
Loudoun schools finished the day with ten wins: Briar Woods securing four wins and both Tuscarora and Loudoun County finishing with three. Here are the final standings and teamresults:
