Volleyball: NVVA Invitational Kicks off Today in Sterling

(Aug. 31, 2012) - Broad Run High School will join 15 other AAA Northern Virginia schools at the second annual NVVA Invitational which starts today at 3 p.m. at the Northern Virginia Volleyball Center in Sterling. The two-day tournament features action on four courts.

The teams are divided into four groups for pool play:

Pool A: Woodson, Westfield, Fairfax, Washington-Lee
Pool B: South County, Broad Run, Robinson, Marshall
Pool C: West Springfield, Chantilly, Madison, Herndon
Pool D: Oakton, Lake Braddock, South Lakes, Falls Church


Pool play starts at 3 p.m. today with matches also at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Pool play wraps up Saturday morning with matches at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Playoffs then start with No. 3 and No. 4 seeds facing off at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in a single elimination format and No. 1 and No. 2 seeds doing the same at noon and 2 p.m.
