Volleyball: Stone Bridge's Ryan Ackermann is Named Northern Region Player of the Year; Fairchild, Auerbach Also Pick Up Honors

(Nov. 7, 2011) - The Northern Region's top-ranked girls volleyball team, Stone Bridge High School, also has the region's top player as Bulldog junior Ryan Ackermann was named the Player of the Year Saturday in a vote of the region's coaches.

Also from Stone Bridge, Libero Sarah Fairchild was named first team and Rachel Auerbach was picked for the second team. Stone Bridge opens regional play tonight, hosting Washington-Lee at 7 p.m.
