(Nov. 8, 2011) - Potomac Falls High School girls volleyball team swept Kettle Run on the road Monday (25-5, 25-23, 25-18) to advance to the Region II quarterfinals tonight while Briar Woods saw its season end with a 3-1 loss at Powhatan.
The Panthers now travel to Shernado. In other Region II match-ups, all at 7 p.m., Loudoun County plays host to Powhatan, Heritage travels to Western Albemarle and James Wood is at Fauquier.
Kayla Carlton had 17 kills, 14 digs, five aces and 20 service points to lead the Panthers (14-10) to the win. Devan Baxley added 10 kills, a block, 10 digs, four aces and eight service points and Elieen Fauteux ran the offense with 31 assists to go with three aces, seven service points and a kill.
