News: Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Toys for Tots Join Forces for Touchdown for Tots Campaign

(Nov 23, 2011) - The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and the U.S Marine Corps will again reach thousands of underserved metro DC children and teens this holiday season as they join forces for Touchdown for Tots, a national toy drive benefiting the Toys for Tots Foundation.


In 2010, Redskins fans donated over 1,047 toys and $27,329 to the Toys for Tots campaign. The toys and the funds collected were added to the 101,000 toys collected throughout the DC metro area and that meant over 27,000 area children and teens were able to unwrap a gift Christmas morning.

Fans can score a Touchdown for Tots in a variety of convenient ways:

Fans are encouraged to bring to the game a new, unwrapped toy for children and teens. Local Marines will be stationed at all stadium gates and suites entrances with collection bins to collect toys to distribute to children and teens in need throughout the DC metro area this holiday season.

Donate at any Official Washington Redskins Store
Now through December 18th, fans can visit any official Redskins store location or www.redskinsteamstore.com to make a tax-deductible donation to Toys for Tots. Donation will be added to merchandise total. Every $10 donated will put a new toy in the hands of deserving children in the DC metro area this holiday season. Fans can also bring a new, unwrapped toy and drop off at collection bins at each store location.
