Girls Volleyball: Stone Bridge's Ackermann (Rider) and Brantley (Lehigh) Celebrate College Signings

(May 6, 2013) - Stone Bridge High School celebrated the college signings of two seniors, Ryan Ackermann, and Mariah Brantley, who helped the Bulldogs to a three-year state tournament run. Ackeramann will play next year at Rider University and Brantley will play at Lehigh University.

Girls Volleyball: Stone Bridge's Ryan Ackermann Named 1st Team All-Northern Region; Sarah Fairchild 2nd Team

(Nov. 6, 2012) - Stone Bridge High School senior Ryan Ackermann has been named the Northern Region girls volleyball first team in a vote of the region coaches. Teammate, junior libero Sarah Fairchild, was named to the second team.

Stone Bridge junior Cydney Gill was named honorable mention.

Girls Volleyball: Stone Bridge's Ryan Ackermann, Sarah Fairchild Pick Up Liberty District Player of the Year, Libero of the Year Honors

(Oct. 31, 2012) - Stone Bridge High School senior Ryan Ackermann has been named Liberty District girls volleyball Player of the Year once again, and junior teammate Sarah Fairchild has picked up Libero of the Year honors in a vote of the district's coaches.

Stone Bridge enters the postseason tonight, hosting Thomas Jefferson at 7 p.m., after a 21-1 regular-season. Also for Stone Bridge, junior Cydney Gill was named first team, sophomore Shannon Williams was named second team and junior Libby Haslett picked up honorable mention.

Fairfax's Tyler Freiheit was named the Coach of the Year.

Ashburn (Sept. 20, 2012) - Stone Bridge High School senior Ryan Ackermann reached the 1,000 kill milestone Thursday night as the Bulldogs swept South Lakes (25-17, 25-13, 25-12) to improve to 12-0 on the season.

And the actual kill No. 1,000!

Volleyball: Stone Bridge's Ryan Ackermann is Named Northern Region Player of the Year; Fairchild, Auerbach Also Pick Up Honors

(Nov. 7, 2011) - The Northern Region's top-ranked girls volleyball team, Stone Bridge High School, also has the region's top player as Bulldog junior Ryan Ackermann was named the Player of the Year Saturday in a vote of the region's coaches.

Also from Stone Bridge, Libero Sarah Fairchild was named first team and Rachel Auerbach was picked for the second team. Stone Bridge opens regional play tonight, hosting Washington-Lee at 7 p.m.
