Youth Sports - Girls Soccer - Loudoun 2000 Girls Shut Out Opponents to Win Elite Columbia Invitational

(June 2, 2010) – In the final tournament of their inaugural year, Loudoun Soccer’s 2000 Girls Red team shut out their opponents in every game to win the championship trophy at the elite Columbia Invitational, held outside of Baltimore in Columbia, Maryland from May 29-May 31. The team shut out their opponents during all four games of the tournament, finishing with a resounding 2-0 victory in the championship game against the talented Bethesda Academy Green team.

The combined league and tournament record for this talented group of 8 and 9 year old girls is currently 29 wins, 5 losses and 1 tie with two games remaining in the spring season of the Washington Area Girls Soccer (WAGS) league. The team has outscored their opponents 151-24 over the course of the year.

Loudoun 2000 Red is lead by Head Coach Vicky Hall and Assistant Coach Lou Arroyo. Players include Caitlyn Arroyo, Savannah Berry, Halle Boyles, Helen Boyles, Chelsea Dougherty, Jenny Dunlap, Jenna Evans, Kelly Klimek, Teagan Oliver, Sarah Philip, Jaden Steele and Jaihla Tillman.
