News: Snowquestered! Loudoun County Schools and Government Both Closed Wednesday
(March 6, 2013) - Loudoun County Public Schools are closed today because of the weather. All schools and administrative offices are closed. Loudoun County Government will be closed on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Employees who staff essential 24-hour county operations and other essential services must work as scheduled.

(Dec. 6, 2011) - VivaLoudoun was thinking of "Elfing" our Fox mascot and making him a public holiday display but there is just too much drama surrounding the issue at the Loudoun County Courthouse lawn in Leesburg. So if you have heard about the "Skeleton Santa" then you might be interested in this statement released by the Board of Supervisors today on the issue:

News: No Evening Activities at Loudoun Government Facilities
(Jan. 26, 2011) - Due to the inclement weather, there will be no evening activities Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Loudoun County government facilities, which will close at 6 p.m. However, child care progams operated by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services will close at their regular times.

News: Loudoun County Government Opens Major Event Hotline
The Loudoun County government is activating the Loudoun County Major Event Hotline for people who have non-emergency questions related to the record-setting snowstorm and the significant storm that is expected to arrive shortly.
The hotline, 703-737-8300, is intended for non-emergency calls. The hotline will be active throughout the current snow event. As always, people should call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
