Wrestling: Sherando Captures Terry McGowan Invitational; Potomac Falls Ties for 2nd

Sterling (Dec. 18, 2011) - Sherando High School captured the 11-team Terry McGowan Invitational  Saturday at Park View High School with Potomac Falls tying West Potomac for second place.

Sherando scored 202 points with West Potomac and Potomac Falls at 177.5.

Potomac Falls crowned two champions with Louis Ives winning 106 and Mike Linza the champ at 132. Loudoun Valley also had two champions: Josh Cassada (160) and David Garvis (182). Host Park View ended the day on a high note with Ronald Cruz pinning B.J. Aske of Sherando in the 285 championship bout.


Sherando still came away with three champions: Jacob Guthridge (113), Kyle Vangel (120) and Dan Mullaney (152).

Potomac Falls' Zach Causey was runner-up at 170 and Woodgrove had three runner-ups: Luke Segerdahl (145), Jacob David (152) and Joe Cavallaro (160).
