Boys Soccer: Loudoun Duo Swaney and Miller Help St. Stephen's and St. Agnes to 1st IAC Title, State Runner-up

(Dec. 19, 2011) - Loudoun natives, senior Grant Swaney and junior Seth Miller, helped the St. Stephens and St. Agnes boys soccer team clinch its first IAC title with an exciting double-overtime win over Georgetown Prep and then helped the Saints finish as state runner-ups in the VISAA tournament last month.


The Saints fell to Episcopal, 3-1 in the finals, after beating Cape Henry Collegiate 1-0 in the semifinals

The St. Stephen's & St. Agnes beat Georgetown Prep 4-3 in double overtime to clinch their first IAC boys soccer championship when Parker Patterson buried a penalty kick in OT for the win. The Saints were the No. 1 seed in the VISAA state tournament and had beaten Episcopal twice on the season but a hat trick by Ntokozo Tshuma carried the day for Episcopal.
