Boys Soccer
Tuscarora 4, Woodgrove 2
The Skinny: Angel Garcia netted the hat trick with three goals and Ben Ogedebge scored as the Huskies won a Dulles District match-up of the two newest schools in Loudoun. Ian Fuller struck twice for the Wolverines off assists from Kevin Connell and Alex Tejada. Woodgrove stat crew had the Huskies out-shooting the Wolverines, 13-7, with Woodgrove keeper Will Feijoo making eight saves and Tuscarora's Adam Kight making five.
Loudoun Valley 4, James Wood 2
The Skinny: Valley visited James Woods High School and improved their record to 5-2. James Woods came out with a much more aggressive demeanor at home and scored in the first minute of the match. The Vikes quickly regained their composure and equalized in the 8th minute when Junior defender Adam Gates forced the ball through multiple Woods defenders and struck a shot that was deflected by the diving Woods GK into the path of Senior forward Max Van Vleet who finished for his 3rd goal of the season.

 Four minutes later Senior forward Captain Richard Meyer received a pass from Sophomore mid Anthony Flores and put the Vikes ahead with his third goal of the season, a highlight reel 'golaso' that the Woods keeper had no chance of saving. The Vikings went into the half with a 2-1 lead and confidence that they could close this one out in the last 40 minutes.

Woods however would not go quietly and in the 54th minute the score was once again level at 2-2. Valley increased the intensity and answered 2 minutes later when Van Vleet raced past his marker on the wing and turned along the goal line to deliver a ball to the foot of Senior Forward Kody Kitto who struck it home for his 4th goal of the season putting the Vikes ahead for the final time in the match. With less than two minutes to play in regulation Van Vleet found the net again on a spectacular flying volley over the charging Woods GK for the Vikes 4th goal and his own 4th of the season.

 The Loudoun Valley JV squad moved the ball more effectively on offense scoring 5 times in a win over James Wood HS Tuesday night. The coaches were encouraged by the team’s commitment to moving without the ball and providing support off the ball. The Vikings scoring attack was led by Jose Ayala-Franco with 3 goals, Morgan Hiscock-Acham with one goal and Andre Dengler with one goal and two assists. Derek Vacco contributed two assists. David Anderson and Thomas Funkhauser worked the goal and preserved the win.

The Skinny: Ashley Bonner and Lexi Clarke scored in overtime to give the Wolverines the victory over the Huskies. Annie Hartman score in regulation for Tuscarora and Charlotte Ratcliffe scored for Woodgrove off an assist from Clarke.
