Volleyball: Loudoun County Senior Kathleen Horvath Commits to NCAA Division I University at Albany

(Jan. 29, 2011) - Loudoun County High School senior Kathleen Horvath, who helped the Raiders win the last three in their four-year VHSL state title run, has committed to play next year at NCAA Division I University at Albany.

The versatile Horvath, who can play Libero or setter, plays her club volleyball for the NVVA Select 18s.

Top-seeded UAlbany (22-9) beat third-seeded UMBC in straight games to win the America East Conference Championship in Nov. 20. The Great Danes ran their win streak to seven contests and claimed their fifth America East title in seven years before falling to Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
