Baseball: Virginia State 9/10 Little League State Tournament

(July 19, 2012) - Dulles Little League is hosting the 2012 Virginia State 9/10 All-Star Tournament at Crittenden Park from Friday, July 20 through Wednesday, July 25.

Opening ceremony is tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at Broad Run High School. All 16 teams and tournament officials will parade around Broad Run followed by a catered meal.

Youth Sports - Baseball: Dulles Little League National Captures 9-10 Year Old Virginia District 16 Title

(July 16, 2011) - The Dulles Little League National All-Star team went 4-0 at the 9-10 Year Old Virginia District 16 tournament to earn the title and a trip to the state tournament.

The Dulles National team opened with a 5-4 win over Central Loudoun American and then doubled up Upper Loudoun National, 6-3. After another 1-run win, 10-9 over  Little League - Nationals with a score of 6-3, Central Loudoun Litte League - Nationals with a score of 10-9 over Central Loudoun National and clinched the title of the double elimination tournament with a 13-3 win over Central Loudoun National.

Baseball: 500 Dulles Little Leaguers Participate in Broad Run 2nd Annual Clinic

(Mar. 22, 2011) - The Broad Run High School Baseball team hosted its 2nd Annual Clinic for Dulles Little League on Saturday, March 19th. Over 500 Dulles Little League baseball players from 46 different teams participated in this year's clinic.

The day consisted of four, one-hour sessions with between 10 and 12 teams attending each session. Stations taught by the Broad Run JV and Varsity players included: hitting, base running, pitching, infield, outfield, and pitching.

"The clinic is a great opportunity for the young men in our program to give back to an organization that many of them participated in growing up in the Ashburn area," said Broad Run coach Pat Cassidy. "I feel like our players benefit as much from this day as the little leaguers themselves ... It is a win-win and we look forward to working with Dulles Little League in the coming years."

Youth Sports - Baseball - Dulles National Falls Just Short in 10-11 Little League State Tournament After Amazing Comeback

(July 28, 2010) - The Dulles National Little League baseball team may have fallen just short in the 10-11 Virginia State Tournament, dropping a 2-1 decision to Chantilly in the finals, but the boys from Loudoun return home from Louisa County with one of the greatest comebacks ever.

The Dulles National team trailed Vienna 12-6 in the final inning of the elimination game prior to the finals. Dulles National put two runs across and then Sean Clark hit a grand slam to tie the game and the heroics continued as Gino Ventrice hit a walk-off home run for the amazing 13-12 win. Chantilly defeated Bristol, 8-2, to advance to the finals.

(July 21, 2010) - While it was set last month that District 16 would be sending a Dulles team to the Virginia State 10/11 tournament starting in Louisa tonight - the question was National or American? And it was answered in a Dulles vs. Dulles championship game between the two teams that dominated the District 16 tournament with determination and confidence in every aspect of the game. The National team won the title game 10-0.
