Football: Tonight's Briar Woods vs. Broad Run Game is a Battle for a Better Cause in Honor of Cameron Carter

(Aug. 31, 2012) - Tonight's Briar Woods vs. Broad Run high school football game, featuring a match-up of rival schools that have combined for the past four VHSL Division 4 state titles, is also a Battle for a Better Cause as the two schools have linked up to raise funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in memory of Cameron Carter.

Carter, the daughter of former Washington Redskins Tom and wife Renee Carter, and sister of Briar Woods High School standout football player Alex Carter, who graduated in June and is now playing at Stanford, passed away earlier this year. She was an 8th grader at Stone Hill Middle School.

Running: Cam's Light 5K Race/Walk/Family Fun Run to Raise Funds in Memory of Cameron Carter

(May 10, 2012) - Stone Hill Middle School is hosting Cam's Light 5K Race/Walk/Family Fun Run on May 19 that will raise funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in memory of Cameron Carter, an 8th grade student who passed away earlier this year.

Check in is at 7:30 a.m. with the competitive race starting at 8 a.m. and family fun run shortly after.

News: Stone Hill Middle School 8th Graders Plans 5K on May 19 to Raise Funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research in Honor of Cameron Carter

(March 27, 2012) - Mark your calendars for May 19 as Stone Hill Middle School 8th graders are putting together a 5K race to raise funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of former classmate Cameron Carter, who passed away last month from a diabetic seizure at age 14.

The 5K "Cam's Light Race", organized as a Stone Hill Middle School 8th Grade Civics Project, has a goal of raising $10,000. Check back to Viva Loudoun for more details on this race. Register for the race here.

News: Cameron Carter Service Set for Sat. Feb. 25

(Feb. 23, 2012) - A service for Cameron Carter, who passed away yesterday, will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday February 25, 2012 at Grace Covenant Church, 4600 Brookfield Corporate Dr. Chantilly, VA 20151. Repast will take place at the church following the service, concluding at 1:30 p.m. No services will be held on Friday.
