News: Informational Meetings on Proposed Lights at Byrne's Ridge Park in Aldie and Brambleton Fields Park Site in Ashburn Set

(Nov. 30, 2012) - Loudoun County will hold informational meetings for the public regarding special exception applications for lights at Byrne's Ridge Park, 24915 Mineral Springs Circle in Aldie, and the Brambleton Fields (East/West) park site, 22389 Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn.

The meeting about Byrne's Ridge Park is scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in the auditorium of Mercer Middle School, 42149 Greenstone Drive, Aldie. The Brambleton Fields (East/West) park meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in the auditorium of the National Recreation & Park Association, 22377 Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn.

News: Aldie Man Charged with Soliciting Middle School Children Via Facebook

(Oct. 31, 2012) - A 43-year-old Aldie, Virginia man was charged October 24th with five counts of use of a computer to solicit a child less than 15-years-old.

In October, a member of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) School Resource Officer Unit assigned to Lunsford Middle School was approached by school personnel regarding suspicious activity on a student's Facebook account.
