The Skinny: Defending state champion Woodgrove risks opening 0-2 with big game at Dulles District rival Briar Woods. Two teams have won last two AA state championships with BWoods the 2011 title winner.

The Skinny: Two teams looking to break into LoCo Top 5 will meet in a Battle of Sterling

No. 4 Loudoun County (1-0) at Loudoun Valley (1-1)
The Skinny: Don't expect the Raiders to stay at No. 4 for long as the three top things in softball are: pitching, pitching, pitching.
