Football: Park View to Induct Second Hall of Fame Class Friday Prior to Liberty Game

Sterling (Aug. 31, 2011) - Park View High School will induct its second Hall of Fame class at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 2, before the Park View-Liberty football game.

A reception to honor the inductees, their friends and families will begin at 5 p.m. (The induction and reception will be held inside the school. The inductees and their families are encouraged to attend the football game where the inductees will be recognized on the field at halftime.)

The 2011 inductees (with the years they attended Park View) include:

· Genevieve Cummings Petrella (1979-1983)
· Tom Slack (1976-1979)
· Mike Spring (1976-1979)
· Theresa Cummings Taylor (1986-1990)
· Todd Turner (1977-1981)
· Ken Wright (1984-1988)
· April Hughlett Vinson (1976-1978)
· Greg Mitchell (1976-Present)
· Bill Whetzel (Contributor)

Park View High School created an Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010. The purpose of the Park View High School Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor those Park View High School athletes, coaches, administrators and supporters who excelled in their respective sports or coaching/support roles and who helped to bring honor, recognition, distinction and excellence to Park View High School by their conduct both on and off the field, or court of competition.
