News: Polls Open at 6 a.m. for Primaries Tuesday

(Aug. 22, 2011) - Polls in Loudoun County will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, for the 2011 Primary Election. Anyone in the 31st Senate District is eligible to participate in the Democratic Primary. Anyone in the 13th Senate District, the 10th House District and/or the 87th House District is eligible to participate in the Republican Primary. There are ten Loudoun County precincts not voting this election and several precincts in which only part of the precinct will be voting because of the new house and/or senate lines resulting from the recent redistricting.


If you are unsure as to whether or not your precinct is voting in the election, please call 703-777-0380 or check your new voter card.

Election results will be available online, live and in real time, on the Loudoun County website, thanks to a new Google Docs spreadsheet developed by the Loudoun County Department of Information Technology and the Loudoun County Electoral Board.
