Youth Sports: Boys Basektball - Flexx All Stars Advance Three Teams in Summer League Playoffs

(July 22, 2011) - The Flexx All Stars basketball program advanced three teams into the summer league playoffs next week in Northern Virginia.

The 11U boys Blue team and the 10U boys team both will be playing in their respective division 1 playoffs. The Flexx White team also advanced to the division 2 playoffs.


"It's a testament to the growth of our program and the development of our players" said Darrell Durst, co-founder and head teaching coach for Flexx. "This year's summer league competition was very strong and we are very pleased to advance three teams. All the boys should be proud."

Pat Little, a Flexx All Star 11U Blue parent, agreed. "We were missing a lot of kids throughout the summer. At times we played with 5 or 6 kids And often in back to back games and still finished 7 and 1 down the stretch. It was fun to watch the team clicking on all cylinders".

All three teams faced similar challenges according to James Larsen, the President of Flexx program.

"The coaches scrambled and did a wonderful job all season long. Coach Durst, coach Conway, coach Auch, coach Anderson, and coach Gallagher all deserve a pat on the back for a job well done."

Larsen also wanted to thank the parents who supported the teams and drove their kids all over Northern Virginia. "Obviously the parents are critical. I hope all the boys will thank their parents first and foremost", said Larsen.

The Flexx All Stars is an AAU boys basketball program that serves boys from Ashburn and Lansdowne Virginia.
