Youth Sports - Boys Basketball: Loudoun Triple Threat 7th Gade Gold Finishes 6th at AAU Nationals

(July 8, 2011) - Loudoun Triple Threat 7th Grade Gold boys finished 6th in a field of 80 teams at the AAU Division II Nationals in Memphis TN.


LTT Gold won 6 games from June 26 to July 3rd defeating teams from Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and North Carolina. They lost in the final 8 to the eventual National Champion King James from Ohio after leading by two at half time and missing a 3-pointer to tie with 10 seconds to go.

King James went on to win the final by 27 points. LTT Gold earned a team trophy, player medals and a automatic bid to 2012 AAU Division II Nationals at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida.
