News: Loudoun 2012 Graduation Dates Set - Sunday Ceremonies for First Time Slated

(July 21, 2011) - Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) has set its graduation dates for 2012.
There are three notable changes concerning graduations for the Class of 2012.

The first two involve Tuscarora and Woodgrove high schools, which will hold graduations for the first time.

For the first time in recent history, LCPS will hold graduations on Sunday. With school starting a week early this August, it also will end a week early in June. The Sunday graduations will avoid a conflict with the Virginia High School League (VHSL) athletic playoffs, which are scheduled to end June 9th.

Following is the graduation schedule for 2012:
Sunday, June 10
Dominion High School, 2 p.m., at Dominion High School
Freedom High School, 3 p.m., George Mason University Patriot Center
Heritage High School, 7:30 p.m., at Heritage High School
Stone Bridge High School, 7:30 p.m., George Mason University Patriot Center

Monday, June 11
Loudoun County High School, 8 a.m., at Loudoun County High School
Loudoun Valley High School, 9 a.m., at Loudoun Valley High School
Park View High School, 10 a.m., George Mason University Patriot Center
Briar Woods High School, 2 p.m., George Mason University Patriot Center
Broad Run High School, 7 p.m., George Mason University Patriot Center
Potomac Falls High School, 7:30 p.m., at Potomac Falls High School

Tuesday, June 12
Woodgrove High School, 9 a.m., at Woodgrove High School
Tuscarora High School, 10 a.m., at Tuscarora High School
