News: Appeals to VHSL's Redistricting and Reclassification All Involve Region II Schools

2011-12 and 2012-13 R&R Appeals Summary

In accordance with prescribed procedures, the following appeals were received by the VHSL office and will be heard by the R&R Committee on Monday, April 19.

Monday, March 29, is the date by which the League office must receive in writing a request by any party wishing to speak in opposition to an appeal request. April 1 is the date by which the schedule and list of individuals speaking at the April 19 appeals hearing will be posted on the VHSL web site.

Group AAA
1. Sherando High School appeals its placement in Cedar Run District, Northwest Region, Group AAA and requests instead to remain in Northwestern District, Region II, Group AA.

Group AA
1. Central High School (Woodstock) appeals its placement in Northwestern District, Region II, Group AA and requests instead to be placed in Bull Run District, Region B, Group A.

2. William Monroe High School appeals its placement in Jefferson District, Region II, Group AA and requests instead to be placed in a district to be determined, Region B, Group A.

NOTE: The Group AAA appeal above from Sherando High School would impact Group AA schools.

Group A

NOTE: There are no appeals by Group A schools, but the Group AA appeals above from Central High School (Woodstock) and William Monroe High School would impact Group A schools.
