(Mar. 29, 2010) - Broad Run High School won the rain-shortened Sports+ Plus High School Softball Classic in Chesterfield.
The Spartans (5-0) won by going 3-0 on Saturday with wins over Arch Bishop Molloy (NY) 6-1, host L.C. Bird 4-1, and an exciting 3-2 win in the championship game over Nandua (Northern Neck) in ITB.
Four Spartans were named to the All-Tournament team: Danni Cook (Frosh) - short stop; Maggie Betz (Jr) - third base; Jenn Soroka (Sr) - first base. Anna Blessing (Sr) center field / pitcher was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.
