Lacrosse: Stone Bridge Boys and Girls Join Forces to Raise Over $1,100 at Brambleton 5K Ribbon Run for Breast Cancer

(Mar. 23, 2010) - Stone Bridge High School boys and girls lacrosse players and coaches -- almost 100 strong -- joined forces Saturday to raise more than $1,100 at the Brambleton 5K Ribbon Run for breast cancer.

A friendly challenge for the good cause between Bulldog girls coach Kristin Howard and Bulldog boys Scott Mitchell led to 100 percent participation between the two squads.

One parent said their son called the event "awesome and 'he thought they got more out of it than they gave'."

At one point all the Bulldog players formed a tunnel for little kids to run through as they finished the race.

All in all, it was a great day for a great cause, and most likely the start of a yearly tradition.
