Football: Woodgrove Names Stone Bridge Defensive Coordinator Mike Skinner as Head Coach

Purcellville (Feb. 28, 2012) - Mike Skinner was formally named the Woodgrove High School head football coach Tuesday night after being approved by the Loudoun County School Board at its regularly scheduled meeting.

Skinner takes over the reins of the position that has been vacant since early January, and brings 32 years of high school coaching experience to Western Loudoun. He has experienced success at every stop throughout his career as both an assistant coach and a head coach. Skinner has served as the defensive coordinator at Stone Bridge High School the past four seasons, helping to lead one of the area’s most successful programs to four consecutive district championships, in addition to two Regional championships and two state final appearances.

News: Brian Parke Takes Over as Assistant Athletic Director at Stone Bridge

(Aug. 2, 2010) - The start of a new high school sports season with fall tryouts opening today also brings some changes in the front offices as Brian Parke officially started on Friday as Stone Bridge High School's new assistant athletic director.

Parke, a former Bulldog girls basketball coach, takes over for Mike Skinner who returns to teaching and coaching full time.
