Boys Soccer: Heritage's Munson Honored for Most Wins by a Female Coach in a Men's Program

(April 26, 2013) - Earlier this month, Heritage High School boys soccer coach Betsy Munson was honored by the Virginia High School Coaches Association as her current 136 career wins is most all-time by a female coach for men’s soccer in the state of Virginia.

In Munson’s 13-year career, she has won two state championships, twice been a state runner-up, twice the Virginia State Coach of the Year, Virginia All Star game Coach twice; and with Heritage she has won a District title, and led the Pride to two regional appearances. 

She holds a Master’s degree in sport psychology from the University of Virginia, and is a Doctoral candidate in Coaching Leadership from Shenandoah University.
