Football: Dominion and Park View to Play for "Battle of Route 7" Mega-Trophy

Sterling (Sept. 16, 2012) - Dominion and Park View will have something extra on the line when the two high schools meet Friday, Sept. 28 for their annual football match-up: a new mega-trophy awarded to the winner of the "Battle of Route 7".

Patriot athletic director Jason Testerman says the new trophy is "quite a sight" to see. As part of this newly created series the visiting school each year will host a dinner the night before the game for both teams. Team captains from both teams will speak at the dinner. The winner of the game will then keep the trophy at their school for the entire year to display.

Game time is 7 p.m. at Park View High School on Sept. 28 with tickets $5. It is also Youth Night.
