Baseball: Lower Loudoun Juniors to Represent District 16 and Loudoun County in Virginia State Tournament

(July 18, 2012) - The District 16 Champion Juniors team from Lower Loudoun is heading to Bristol, Virginia on Thursday to participate in the Virginia State Juniors Tournament.


The team of 13 & 14 year olds from Sterling earned the District 16 Juniors Championship by defeating the Dulles Juniors team in a best 2 out of 3 tournament. The Lower Loudoun team will face the team from Portsmouth, VA - Charles Peete - in their first game of the double elimination tournament on Friday at 3pm.

The Lower Loudoun players are: Griffin Limongelli, Ibraheem Cattaneo, Brendan Anderson, Eric Chagnon, Garrett Lutkins, Patrick Hartmann, Tyler Dyer, Jason Kelly, Trent Koerner, Matt Oswald, Wes Jamison, and Jason Leckemby. The Manager is Ruben Rosado and the coaches are Paul Faby and Eric Dyer.
