Volleyball: Teams Tune Up for Season at Park View Jamboree

(Aug. 20, 2010) - Briar Woods and Park View tuned up for the 2010 volleyball season against four other schools last Saturday at the Park View Jamboree.

Briar Woods, led by Chelsea Kaser, came away with top honors in the combined varsity/junior varsity scoring with 301 points.

Wrestling: Heritage to Host Third Annual Duals Saturday

Leesburg (Jan. 29, 2010) - Heritage High School will host their third annual Duals on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Admission is $5 for the 8-team event.

College Corner: Former PF Soccer Star Onyeador Named to a National Team of the Week

WASHINGTON - Two members of the Georgetown University men's soccer team were named to national teams of the week after the Hoyas went 2-0 defeating a pair of BIG EAST opponents this past weekend. Forward Uche Onyeador (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) earned a place on TopDrawerSoccer.com's Team of the Week and defender Alex Verdi (Ivyland, Pa./Germantown Academy) was awarded a spot on the College Soccer News Team of the Week. This is the first national honor for both players.

Onyeador had a big week for the Hoyas posting the game-winning goal against Rutgers and assisting on the game-winner in the 2-0 victory over Villanova. The sophomore forward has started six games for Georgetown so far this season and has two goals and one assist for five points to his credit.
