(Mar. 2, 2011) - The defending AAA state champion Stone Bridge High School girls soccer team celebrated two seniors heading to the college ranks next year as Emily Fredrikson and Julia Harmison held signing ceremonies Tuesday. Fredrikson, a key defender for the Bulldogs, will play next year at William and Mary and Harmison, the Bulldogs starting keeper, will play at Carnegie Mellon.

Emily Fredrikson
Emily started playing soccer at a young age. She is a member of the McLean Azul, the 2009 Virginia State Champions coached by Jac Cicala. Prior to playing for the Azul, she was with the Loudoun Explosion. She was a member of the Virginia State ODP team for several years and was a Region One pool player in 2008.
At Stone Bridge High School, Emily is a four year varsity defender. As a part of the State Championship team last season, Emily earned First Team All Liberty District, First Team All Northern Region, and First Team All State (AAA) honors.
As a student-athlete, Emily maintains a 4.4 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. Emily is a scholarship athlete attending William & Mary next fall.
Julia Harmison
Julia will be headed to Pittsburgh this fall to play soccer at Carnegie Mellon. She is a three-year varsity starter for Stone Bridge High School. As a goalkeeper, Julia has the school record for highest number of shutouts in a season (13) and has earned First Team All Liberty District honors.
In addition to high school soccer, Julia is the starting keeper for the Herndon RFC Arsenal. She is also an exceptional student-athlete and member of the National Honor Society.
